What am I signing up for?

For homeowners, The HOST is a place to aggregate your listings and connect your guests to local service providers and products. You can place orders or allow your guests to make requests for their visit. For providers, The HOST is an opportunity to connect with visitors to your city and provide them with services that will enhance their experience. Over time, you’ll also build a network of reliable homeowner clients.

What happens after I sign-up and link my listing?

Browse the local services and products near you, and let us know which services you’d like to incorporate or offer to guests a la carte. Request a service provider in your area and schedule them for your guest’s visit. This is one-stop shopping.

Can I still use my current manager and housekeeper to my property?

Please do! You can also add your current home team, so that you can streamline communication while providing them with more job opportunities to grow their business. We make adding your current team easy! Simply send them a link and we’ll on-board them to the HOST.

Can I schedule a provider in advance?

Sure! When scheduling a provider, you can request immediate service or arrange for the provider to come at a future date and time.

What if I want to leave a gift basket, but want my traveler to experience the extras?

As long as you’ve granted home access to the HOST, we can help your traveler with their personal experience with a la carte services.

How can I find someone to manage my listing/ booking?

The HOST offers various levels of property management from local contacts who keep an eye on your home, to guest concierges who facilitate travel arrangements, to host ambassadors who provide complete vacation rental management. We believe in collaboration, so we also partner with Evolve Vacation Rental Network to expand our network of full-time service management solutions.

I am leaving town. Who can I call in case of an emergency?

If an emergency occurs while you’re own of town, please contact the Host Ambassador assigned to your home or the local contact / guest concierge, if you’ve booked one for the current reservation.

I bought a second home in the mountains and would like to rent it part time as a vacation rental. Is there a local that can help with this?

Yes. The HOST can help you find a vacation rental designer to help set-up your home for success. Your designer can assign you your very own house team including a Host Ambassador, a housekeeper, guest concierge, local contact, and/or  maintenance person. We will help you maximize the returns on your vacation rental and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. Your Host Ambassador can keep track of your rental schedule, turn over the house between bookings, manage guests requests, and event restock your toiletries.
